BRIDAL HAIR & MAKEUP

We know that this is isn’t a five-minute affair! To ensure a calm and enjoyable start to your wedding day, we invite you to use the ground floor of Fernhalls Mill as your private getting-ready space from 8:30am*, for no additional charge. This gives you plenty of time to settle in, enjoy the excitement of the morning, and prepare at a relaxed pace.

The facilities available on the morning of your wedding day include a bathroom, separate loo, changing room, sitting room, kitchen and central entertaining space. Picture the atmosphere as you and your bridesmaids settle in for the morning: make-up bags laid out, hairdryers softly humming, and perhaps a glass of something celebratory in hand as the anticipation builds!

And if you would like to extend the experience, Fernhalls Mill can also be booked for the night before your wedding. Rooms are £160 per night, with a minimum of two rooms required to secure the booking.

*Couples that are taking the Honeymoon Suite and book a two-day wedding or do not have a wedding the day before theirs, can also use the Honeymoon Suite as their private getting-ready space from 8.30am.

THE FINISHING TOUCHES

For couples who use Fernhalls Mill as a getting ready space, they are welcome to move to the Honeymoon Suite at The Barns at Delbury Hall from 11:30am for those all important finishing touches prior to the ceremony.

A hidden doorway provides private access to the Honeymoon Suite, so that our couples won’t accidentally cross paths before the celebrations begin.

THE DOVECOT

The Dovecot is currently being renovated and will be available from 11:30am on your wedding morning as a dedicated private space where one half of the couple and their wedding party may get ready in comfort before the day begins.

Set just beside the Orangery and the Garden Cottage, the Dovecot provides an historic, characterful setting for calm, intimate wedding-day preparations. It features a drinks station, comfortable seating and a designated changing area.
